The Author

Chasing a new life at nearly 50. I've thrown most of the pieces up in the air. Oh yes, interesting times.
For nearly 35 years I have struggled with depression. Recent research into neural development has finally named the problem at the root -- #CPTSD.
During a failure to launch I accumulated a Masters in International Policy, degrees in Chemistry, Russian Lit, and Economics. Then I went and built web sites for 20+ years.
My writing, like my education covers a broad spectrum of topics. Some topics I have degrees in, some I have experience. Occasionally I have both.
I have an intense interest in environmental, mental health and social issues both at the personal and the policy levels.
Published in SCA Today, Crossfit websites, Write for Healing, and various newspapers I hope to reach more readers with thoughts, humor and even a good story or two.

I first make the acquaintance of LT. Sharpe via the BBC. So blame my fandom on Sean Bean. And on the fact that Mr. Cornwell does impeccable research for his battles. (well, impeccable to my unschooled eye) He makes it a good read with hi...

Better than I expected. Brother, read this so long ago I can't recall enough to give it a decent review. Bother.

Really wish I could give a half star. Oh well. A good meaty read, but not as satisfying as I was hoping it would be. Meh.

Ok. You're going to look at the categories and think I have lost my ever-lovin mind. But there's a good reason that I call it both fiction and non-fiction. Several of the details of code cracking, code school, Bletchley Park are spot on....
